MOTS-c is a synthetic peptide, a short chain of 16 amino acids. Panterra will offer it only as a compounded medication prescribed by a licensed provider. It is not FDA-approved.

Each compounded medication is made for one patient, on a prescription from a licensed provider who has reviewed that patient’s health information.

Possibly not. Substances without approval for human use are generally prohibited in tested sport under the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Prohibited List, and a prescription does not change that. If you compete in a tested sport, check the current list and tell your provider before starting.

There is nothing to cancel.

If you have placed an order and want to withdraw it before a provider approves it, message your care team in your portal or email support.

A provider licensed in your state reads your intake before anything ships, and their name appears on the plan you receive.

No. MOTS-c is a compounded medication. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality. A provider decides whether it is appropriate for you.

Important safety information

For MOTS-c. A summary, not the complete list of risks. If you add another treatment to your plan, its own page carries its safety information.

This is not for everyone

Only a licensed provider can decide whether this treatment is appropriate for you. Do not use it if you have had an allergic reaction to MOTS-c or its components, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your provider about any current or past cancer, kidney or liver disease, a weakened immune system, and every medicine and supplement you take.

Serious risks

Allergic reactions are possible and need urgent care: hives, swelling of the face or throat, or trouble breathing. Human safety data for MOTS-c are limited, and long-term safety has not been established. Injecting can cause infection or bleeding at the injection site. Use it only as directed and follow your pharmacy’s instructions for storage, preparation and disposal.

Common side effects

Because human data are limited, the full range of side effects is not known. Redness, pain or swelling where you inject can occur. Tell your provider about any new or worsening symptom.

Combining treatments

Adding treatments at the same time makes it harder to tell which one is working and which one is causing a side effect. A provider will usually ask you to stage them, starting one and adding the next at a follow-up. If you add another treatment to your plan, its own safety information applies as well.

About this medication

This treatment is compounded for you by a state-licensed pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and do not undergo FDA review for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality. MOTS-c is not approved by the FDA for any use. It is currently available to compound under an interim federal enforcement policy that is not an approval and can change at any time, and availability may change with it. Your provider prescribes it based on their clinical judgement and your intake, and can change or stop it at any time.
